The town of Gijón

Gijón is the largest town in the autonomous community of Asturias, a part of the “Green Spain”​. With 272 365 inhabitants (2017), the town’s economy is based on the Musel Port activity, the steel industry, services, University and tourism.  Our town also organises the Gijón International Film Festival– known as FICX - and many other cultural events.
